Battery Field Service Engineer – Cell Diagnostics (Novi Sad, Serbia)
Full-time · Novi Sad, Serbia
ApplyAbout BessRe
BessRe is the party accountable for availability and response time of storage assets in Europe. We sell no hardware, integrate nothing, distribute nothing — our revenue comes only from service contracts, so we have no reason to favour any manufacturer’s account of a failure. We run two hubs with spare-parts stores: Antwerp (Western hub) and Novi Sad (Eastern hub).
Why this role
Our field team is strong on PCS and electrical systems. We are looking for a cell specialist to complete it, so that together we can diagnose and fix faults from the cell to the grid connection.
What you will do
- Field service across Eastern Europe: fault diagnosis and repair at cell, module and pack level
- Analyse BMS data and run voltage, internal-resistance, capacity and thermal checks to identify failure modes
- Write root-cause reports in English and assemble warranty-claim evidence
- Work with manufacturers’ engineers in China and asset owners in Europe
- Support preventive maintenance, commissioning witness and spare-parts management
What you bring
- 3+ years of field fault diagnosis or repair service at a battery cell manufacturer for energy storage
- Working English, spoken and written
- Solid understanding of cell, module and BMS behaviour and common failure modes
- Willingness to travel across Eastern Europe
- A plus: European project experience, electrical qualifications, an EU-valid driving licence
Career path
Year one is based in Novi Sad, Serbia, covering field service in Eastern Europe. From year two, there is an opportunity to be based in Western, Northern or Southern Europe and run a service centre.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary
- Social insurance (per local law)
- Travel allowance
- Performance bonus
- Year-end profit share
- Serbian work permit arranged by BessRe
Start date
1 January 2027
