What three risks will your lender ask about?

Lenders and asset managers ask three questions: technical, warranty and manufacturer risk. Most defects surface at factory acceptance and commissioning, which we witness on your behalf. Claims against a manufacturer on another continent fail without independent evidence, and we establish root cause, assemble the evidence and pursue the claim.

Many manufacturers now have service teams in Europe — for their own product. When a site underperforms, the manufacturer points at the integration, the integrator at the EMS, the EMS provider at the battery, and the O&M contractor at all three. Each party covers a piece; rarely does anyone sign for the whole site.

We deliver with technology transferred from China, through certified service partners trained locally. We judge availability and response time on our own data, commit only to what we can deliver, and stand behind the availability commitments in our long-term service agreements.

One-year availability engagements are our entry point.

Technical

Most defects surface at factory acceptance and commissioning. We witness both on your behalf, independent of the manufacturer.

Warranty

Claims against a manufacturer on another continent fail without independent evidence. We establish root cause and responsibility, assemble the evidence and pursue the claim — per signed agreement.

Manufacturer

No dependence on any single manufacturer: cross-brand diagnosis, certified local partners, European spare parts. Insurance cover for performance, product liability and manufacturer insolvency is in preparation with specialist insurers, from 2027.

For lenders and asset managers

A named European counterparty · monthly reporting in your format · independent state-of-health data for the battery passport.

Liability terms are agreed per site, in line with scope and spare-parts commitment.

Availability engagement — per site, per year.

The regulation is on your side

Since August 2024, Article 14 of the EU Battery Regulation gives owners access to state-of-health data; from February 2027, every industrial battery above 2 kWh carries a digital passport maintained through use. BessRe reads that data independently — which makes an availability commitment measurable.

Why it holds

Partners join our network only after VCA, BA4/BA5 and ADR vetting, product training and a first-job acceptance; those who fail are removed. Serving several manufacturers builds failure data no single manufacturer has. Every engagement adds to a performance record that can only be earned over time.

What you are buying is not outsourced labour. It is a party that signs for the result.

BessRe is the party accountable for availability and response time of storage assets in Europe.
