BessRe is the party accountable for availability and response time of storage assets in Europe. We sell no hardware, integrate nothing, distribute nothing — our revenue comes only from service contracts, so we have no reason to favour any manufacturer’s account of a failure. Through BessRe Compliance, we help battery manufacturers and integrators meet their obligations under the EU Batteries Regulation, including producer registration and extended producer responsibility (EPR).

What you will do

• Help manufacturers work out where and for which batteries they have producer obligations, using our checklists
• Prepare and track producer registrations, following a written playbook for each country
• Collect and check documents from manufacturers, many of them based in China
• Keep the deadline calendar and prepare reporting data on quantities placed on the market and collected
• Coordinate with partner compliance firms in other EU markets
• Help us write and improve the country playbooks you work with

What you bring

• A final-year student, recent graduate or up to about one year of experience, in law, economics, environmental engineering, international business or a related field
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Care for detail and a structured way of working; comfortable with spreadsheets
• A plus: Chinese, Dutch, French or German; an interest in batteries, energy or sustainability

What we offer

• A paid internship of 3–6 months at our Novi Sad hub, about four days a week; the stipend is discussed at interview
• Direct mentoring from the founder and hands-on work with the EU Batteries Regulation
• A path to a full-time role as EPR Operations Specialist as the compliance practice grows
